Marco's background is in astrophysics. He has worked at the University of Western Australia, the University of Tasmania, CSIRO Radiophysics and Caltech/JPL. In 2001 he changed career paths to actuarial practice with a particular focus on actuarial and valuation techniques. Marco's actuarial career started at Accurium (formerly Bendzulla Actuarial) where he focussed on defined pension funds.
Gaurav is our consulting actuary based in Canberra. He has a PhD in Actuarial Studies and Statistics, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries. As an academic his main research area is on the quantitative analysis on optimal decision making across an individual's financial life cycle. Gaurav's consulting focus is on valuation of employee share options and long service leave liabilities, optimal retirement choice under both DB and DC schemes, and investment strategy.
Ben has used pure and applied Mathematics to solve complex problems in a wide variety of contexts that have ranged from being a Post Doctoral Fellow at the University of Otago to a Management Consultant for an international accounting firm.
